METRO SCREEN NETWORK’S ROUND TABLE

The Metro Screen Network presents an opportunity to meet with working film industry professionals in a focused environment to gain valuable insight, advice and career guidance. With a maximum of 10 participants per round table, you will have the chance to hear from established individuals and learn from their own career path choices, possible avenues to follow and how best to achieve a successful career in the industry.

A limited number of 10 registrations will be taken in each of the following areas: Directing, Producing, Production Company establishment, Cinematography, Editing, Screenwriting, Composing, Sound Design, Special Effects.

Participants will have one hour at the group round table with the industry professional followed by a less formal all in social networking session where everyone can mingle.

When: Tues June 3rd, 7pm – 8.30pm
Where: Metro Screen, Paddington Town Hall Cnr Oxford St + Oatley Rd, Paddington
Cost: Free for Metro Screen members / $10 non-members

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS exhibiton in Perth

Circle of friends presents the work of two Melbourne-based artists David Rosetzky and James Lynch.

A DVD projection by Rosetzky, Nothing like this, 2007, explores the nuances of friendship amongst a group of twenty-somethings over a holiday weekend and No fear, a sound piece based on self-help tapes that involves subtle interaction between the work and its viewers.

James Lynch is represented with a series of four short
animations from 2003-2006 documenting his friends’ dreams that have included him and explores our subconscious connections and friendship fantasies.

PVI collective is excited to announce the launch of a new artists initiative in partnership with the Department of Culture and the Arts in Perth, the CIA studios - Centre for Interdisciplinary Arts.

CIA studios is a not for profit arts initiative based in West Perth, Australia. Housed in an old school on the CBD fringe, CIA studios aim to provide dedicated research and development work-spaces, resources and peer support to all artists whilst focusing on the development of interdisciplinary arts, live art, contemporary performance, hybrid art & artists working with new technology.
