ANU Choral Society Composition Competiton

April 7th, 2008

The Choral Society of the Australian National University (SCUNA) has launched the Choral Composition Competition, which invites any keen musician to compose an original short piece for choir and orchestra of up to four minutes in length, using at least one of the works by Professor William C Clarke as the basis.
Four finalists will be able to work with the choir, orchestra and several key music staff from the ANU School of Music in a weekend workshop designed to enhance their compositional skills. One finalist may then be commissioned to compose a 20 minute piece for choir and orchestra to be performed in 2009. Open to all ages.
The workshop will take place from 26 - 28 September 2008.

Guidelines and entry forms online.
