The Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM), to be held from 22-26 February 2010 at the Adelaide Festival Centre in Adelaide, is now accepting applications from Australian artists and companies to take part in the Spotlight live showcase program and the Searchlight pitch sessions program. Applications close on 14 August 2009.

APAM brings together more than 400 of the most important performing arts presenters and producers from around Australia and overseas and is a unique networking opportunity for artists, companies, performers, agents, government and cultural organisations.

As a part of the Biotech Art  Revisited Project (9 April - 2 May) the Experimental Art Foundation has organized a workshop titled Vital micro-ecologies: splice, dice, duplicate. The workshop, led by the South Australian biotech artist Niki Sperou and hosted by the Department of Medical Biotechnology at Flinders University, will serve as a theoretical and practical introduction in the creation of biotech art.

location & costs Participation in the workshop is free but places are limited. The EAF is not able to provide assistance for travel or accommodation. Participants will need to travel to Flinders University, Sturt Rd, Bedford Park. Buses leave regularly from the CBD and the trip takes approximately 30 minutes.

If you, or your group, are considering an application to the above funding categories we recommend you attend an Arts SA grants information session. These sessions are an opportunity to hear practical advice on which program best suits your project and how to prepare an application. Each session will focus on a specific artform and arts practice, but general information applies regardless of your artform. If you are considering applying to Arts SA for a grant now, or in the future, you cannot afford to miss these sessions.
