Early notice for the launch of the 9th Totally Huge New Music Festival.

SymbioticA: Adaptation Residencies

Expressions of interest are being sought across all artforms to undertake residencies as part of SymbioticA art and ecology project:  Adaptation.
Adaptation presents an exceptional opportunity for artists to engage with a number of potential narratives that may include evolution, cultural history, contradictions in human activity and ecology, global warming, developmental impacts, to bioprospecting.  Residencies are based at Lake Clifton, Mandurah, Western Australia and SymbioticA in the School of Anatomy and Human Biology at The University of Western Australia.

YCulture Metro, WA

YCulture offers up to $3,000 towards your project.

YCulture supports projects by young people for young people across all artforms such as music, theatre, performance, new media, visual arts and crafts, street art, writing and dance.

Some of the YCULTURE guidelines:

• Applicants must be 12 -26 years

• Allow at least 8 weeks between the date you get your application in, and the start date of your project

• Your project must involve an experienced artist to ensure you maximize your skills development

• YCulture funds can cover fees of your experienced artist, materials, promotional costs, documentation of your event/project, venue and equipment hire

• You (the young applicant) need to come up with the project idea. We want to be sure that this is your idea and it’s something you want to do

• All events and activities will be smoke, drug and alcohol free

• YCulture will not fund projects that have already occurred.
